Whether you are a developer or an IT Operations, a Solution Architect, a Power User or an end user, there are a lot of Microsoft related user groups that can help you enhance your Microsoft technology related knowledge to help your organization, your projects, your career or just your curiosity.

These user groups deal with a wide variety of Microsoft related technologies such as Azure, SharePoint, .NET, Open Source, JavaScript, Office 365, Microsoft Security and Compliance, Data & Analytics, Business Intelligence, Adoption & Change Management, Windows, Microsoft 365, Serverless, Infrastructure and Enterprise Architecture.

I thought I would put a list of Microsoft related user groups together around the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) for the benefit of the community.

Azure Data User Group 

No matter the application, data emerges as the lifeblood of your solution. Come to this meetup to learn, teach, and chat about working with data on Azure. From relational data for web applications to big data for machine learning, we will cover a wide range of topics and technologies. This meet-up is hosted by programmers, for programmers; we will go over practical solutions for developers. All skill levels are welcome.

Brampton DevOps/Cloud Computing Meetup 

If you are interested in Cloud tech and DevOps, this is the meetup for you. Centrally located at the SPS Commerce Canada location at Bramalea City Center, close to 410 and 407 for those commuters around the GTA. All skill levels are welcome, talks will be centered around AWS with some Azure and GCP as well. DevOps discussions on automation, build deploy pipelines, automated testing, and architecture will be common. Microsoft and Java stacks will be represented most frequently although emerging tech will also be discussed.

C# Corner Toronto Chapter Meetup

C# Corner has 32 chapters all over the world already which serve the purpose of sharing technical knowledge by hosting monthly meetups, workshops and webinars.

C# Corner is an online global community for IT professionals and developers to exchange their knowledge and experience using various methods such as contributing articles, forums, blogs, and videos. C# Corner reaches 4+ million monthly users worldwide.

Digital Transformation Toronto 

Our goal is to enable teams to build and deliver better quality software applications and technology products more efficiently. Microsoft Tech Talks Mississauga 

Microsoft TechTalks is a Technical community user group event designed to bring IT leaders in the Mississauga area together for deep technical discussions and an opportunity to network and share with other IT professionals in the area. This event is hosted at Microsoft Offices in Mississauga/Toronto, where we will focus solely on Microsoft technologies. We have a huge pool of subject matter experts who have deep experience to cover nearly every product that Microsoft offers including Windows, Exchange, SQL, Office 365, Azure and much more. Our Microsoft Services presenters are world-class Subject Matter Experts and trusted advisors to our highly-valued customers. Our meetings are a great opportunity to attend and ‘ask the experts’ the questions that you have always wanted to ask. The Azure Group (Azure User Community – Toronto) 

The Azure Group (TAG) provides a forum for IT professionals to discuss and share expertise in understanding the cloud technologies available through the Microsoft Azure platform offerings. As organizations look to add cloud technologies to their suite of IT solutions, new technologies, new infrastructure opportunities and challenges arise. Toronto Power Platform UG (Power BI, PowerApps and Flow)

Toronto Power Platform UG (Power BI, PowerApps and Power Automate) Meetup group focus on exploring the capabilities of Microsoft Power Platform suite of Products, including Power BI, PowerApps and Power Automate. The objective of the group is to facilitate a forum for Business Intelligence professionals in the Toronto area to network, share experiences and learn from peers and industry experts about the Microsoft BI Solution.

Toronto SharePoint User Group
