When Microsoft announced Windows Server 2016 at the Ignite 2016 in Atlanta there were questions around Azure Site Recovery supporting this OS. The Azure team announced that Azure site recovery now support Windows server 2016.
Before I go into details, let me take a step back and give quick overview of Azure site recovery.
Azure Site Recovery is a service that can replicates, fails over, and recover your workloads. This can guarantee highest uptime in case of disaster. There are specific regions that support this and you should check the following article for that.

You can replicate On-premises VMware VMs, Hyper-V VMs, Windows and Linux physical servers. You can replicate to Azure storage, or to a secondary datacenter.
Azure Site Recovery can be deployed in both the newer Azure portal or in classic portal with the caveat that the classic portal should only be used to maintain existing Site Recovery deployments. You can’t create new vaults in the classic portal.
Coming back to the post, this week Microsoft announced Azure Site Recovery’s support for protection & replication of virtual machines deployed on a Hyper-V Server 2016 in the following configuration.
